[TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA, EXTRAORDINARY, PART II, SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (i)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) Notification No. 16/2014-Customs New Delhi, the 11th July, 2014 G.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 9/2012- Customs, dated the 9th March, 2012, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R. 129 (E), dated the 9th March, 2012, namely:- In the said notification, in condition (v), for the proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:- “Provided that a variance not exceeding +_ 0.05 mm in diameter for round shape diamonds and +_ 0.07 mm in length and breadth for diamonds of other shapes and variance not exceeding +_ 1 cent in weight shall be allowed.”.
