Seeks to amend Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) regulations, 1998 so as to enhance the value limit of commercial samples for export from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 50,000/-. 1st March, 2001 Notification No. 9/2001-Customs (N.T.) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962 ( 52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998, namely :- 1. (i) These regulations may be called the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Amendment Regulations, 2001. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Courier Imports and Export (Clearance) Regulations, 1998, in regulation 3, in clause (c), for the words "ten thousand rupees", the words "fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted. (T. R.
